Center Opens in Vonore
- by Kate Clabough

BR2 Custom Builders’ model home and design center in now open in Vonore, Tennessee. Tour the 2200-square-foot show home and see first-hand the quality, beauty, and convenience of this state-of-the-art system-built home building system.

The staff in the design center is available to help you create your dream home using customizable system-built components. Flexibility is the key here.

“We work with our customers and take into consideration budget, timing, and lifestyle needs,” said BR2 owner, Rick Hessick. “Our goal is to create a home they will love for a lifetime.”

BR2 works with Carolina Building Solutions, a leading system-built home construction company. Customers can choose from more than 200 customizable plans including ranch, cape cod, chalet and two-story options. Houses range from 1400 to 5000 square feet. The system-built components are constructed at the Carolina Building Solutions factory in Salisbury, North Carolina. Then they ship and assemble on your home site.

The system-built construction process is very similar to on-site construction in that the same quality materials are used, the same care for detail is followed, and the same building codes and standards are observed.

There are three advantages to building a system-built home: quality, time and money.

Since modules are produced in a controlled factory environment under strict supervision, there is a huge reduction in conventional building costs. In addition, the partially-constructed home is safe from damage by the elements or by vandalism. The modules are produced using modern assembly line techniques, with all the building trades involved in a streamlined process. The result is a top-quality custom home.

One of the main benefits of system-built homes is the short time it takes from design to delivery to assembly to move-in. Depending on your design and the particular manufacturer, system-built homes can be built in the factory in just a few weeks. There are no weather delays, missing materials or missing subcontractors. Then once delivered, it usually takes just a few more weeks for BR2 to complete the home and connect utilities.

Construction costs for a system-built home may be less per square foot than for a similar site-built home when you account for labor, material, and timesaving. And the quality engineering and system-built construction techniques increase the energy efficiency of system-built homes, which will help save you money on your heating and cooling costs.

System-built home components are all built in the same place and the homes are constructed to the building codes required by your state, county, and specific locality. System-built homes are inspected during every phase of construction, and a state or inspection agency label of approval certifies compliance.

Every system-built home design is analyzed to determine the best and most cost-effective manner to construct the home, while assuring the utmost level of customization. The homeowner can finally get exactly what he or she wants while benefiting from the structural and economic advantages associated with system-built construction.

At the BR2 model home and design center, visitors will be able to select sample lighting, plumbing, flooring, and other products used in the construction of their beautiful homes. Here you’ll find a one-stop home shopping experience.
