Southern Kitchen
“Redefining Cabinetry”
From Ordinary to Extraordinary
|
With the ever increasing demand by homeowners to incorporate their kitchens into an extension of their home’s entertainment area, kitchen designers are rapidly responding to these new challenges with a myriad of exciting new cabinetry designs, solid-surface alternatives and a host of other options.
If all of this seems overwhelming, fear not. Enter Knoxville area’s premier cabinetry and design headquarters, Southern Kitchen. No newcomer to the area, Southern Kitchen, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, is part of Knoxville’s House-Hasson Hardware Company founded in 1906.
“We’re proud of our over 100 year tradition in the Knoxville community,” says Southern Kitchen President and General Manager Don Boyd. “We’re equally as proud of a team of design consultant professionals who possess nearly 150 years of combined experience and to be Merillat’s only Signature Showroom in East Tennessee.”
Southern Kitchen is also no newcomer to the Tellico Lake area where Bill Mathews, Southern Kitchen’s sales and design consultant, has personally designed and sold nearly 300 kitchens in upscale lake and golf front communities including Tellico Village, Kahite, Rarity Communities, The Ridges at Tellico Lake, Lighthouse Pointe, Tennessee National, Lowe’s Ferry, Blackberry Cove, Avalon and many more.

A Lenoir City resident, Bill has enjoyed his 17 years of helping area homeowners to create their “dream” kitchens. “I’ve made a lot of new friends in my professional career, as well as worked with some great area builders including Precision Builders, Village Builders, Rams Company, Jalyn Homes, Lakepointe Homes, Master Custom Homes & Remodeling and Northlake Properties,” says Bill.
“I think what truly makes Southern Kitchen unique is our approach to both the marketplace and a level of service which exceeds customer expectations,” states Bill. “We begin our work at the concept stage and see it through to the installation and service stages, and we’re also proud to be one of the area’s few cabinet distributors that actually employs a full-time service technician.”
Southern Kitchen’s turn-key approach to the marketplace distinguishes it in East Tennessee. Rather than involve multiple contractors, Southern Kitchen works with the homeowner throughout the entire building process. From concept to design, fabrication, installation and service, the entire responsibility for completion of the project correctly, on time and on budget, rests with Southern Kitchen.

“Not only does this simplify the project, but it often results in a savings to the homeowner,” states Bill. “It also eliminates the “finger pointing” that can result when an error is discovered and multiple “subs” are involved. In the unlikely event we experience a challenge, the responsibility rests entirely with Southern Kitchen.”
Building a new home? Thinking of remodeling your existing kitchen? Why not trust the company that East Tennessean’s have trusted for nearly 30 years and discover how Southern Kitchen is “redefining cabinetry.” Southern Kitchen has proudly designed and furnished fine cabinetry to upscale lake and golf front communities in Loudon, Monroe, Blount and Knox counties.
