Mountain Scape
Views to Live For...
|

Secluded, but close in, MountainScape offers 42 acres with spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains and Douglas Lake all the while being only 15 minutes from all the dining, entertainment and activities of the National Park and Pigeon Forge.
Developer Cody Farmer, of Mountain High Inc., invites East Tennesseans to be among the first to purchase their dream homesite in the foothills of the Smokies. He notes that for people who work in Knoxville or the surrounding area, MountainScape would be an easy commute home. It will be a private community, with a gated entrance, that’s close in but without congestion.

Located on the east side of Sevier County, MountainScape residents will enjoy easy access to maintain the lifestyle of their choice. The MountainScape community will feature a variety of upscale, executive style homes, including the Mountain Craftsman tradition with timber frames, stacked stone, shingles and exposed beams as accents. Preferred builder, Steve Humfleet, of Mountain High Inc. will take great care to maintain the environment of MountainScape. For example, during the building process they will only clear as much land as required for the footprint of the home. They also plan to use mulchers to clear building sites rather than go with traditional techniques that may destroy native habitat and disturb wildlife. “Many of the trees we take down will be mulched and used for walking trails,” says Farmer, who believes in preserving the beauty and the environment. “It will not be unusual for MountainScape residents to see whitetail deer or wild turkeys as they have their breakfast or dinner on their front porch or back deck.”
To better experience nature, residents will have walking trails and a gazebo at their fingertips. A natural pond with fish, frogs and lily pads is located in the center of the community. “We will leave everything natural except for homesites and roads”, says Farmer. Oaks, maples and hickories add to the majesty of MountainScape. In fact, Farmer likes the scenery so much he plans to move to MountainScape. He looks forward to drinking coffee, watching the wildlife and enjoying the views from his back deck at sunrise.

“I’ve been in Sevier County 15 years and been over a lot of property,” Farmer says. “MountainScape has absolutely breathtaking views. If you’ve been looking for a mountain home that’s not a log cabin rental community, this is a perfect permanent or second home that’s close in, yet far away.”
“Close in” refers to all the restaurants, shopping, entertainment and activities that Sevier County and the National Park offer as well as the conveniences of Knoxville. MountainScape residents can have it all, from fine dining to world class shopping to more outdoor activities than we can mention.

For those with an active lifestyle MountainScape is very convenient for hiking, skiing, hunting, fishing, boating, golfing…you name it. It’s easy to maintain an active lifestyle with nature as your neighbor. Douglas Lake has over 500 miles of shoreline dotted with restaurants and boat docks. Set against the backdrop of the Smokies, Douglas Lake attracts 2 million recreational enthusiasts per year.
But if you’re more of the indoors type, Sevier County has abundant live entertainment, theatres, outlet malls, museums and other attractions, including the 241,000-square-foot Sevierville Events Center at Bridgemont, set to open in September. MountainScape will also be just minutes away from the recently announced Dumplin Creek, a 190-acre retail development created by the same developer of Turkey Creek in West Knoxville.

MountainScape is “close-in” but also “far away”. It’s a perfect retreat, or Smoky Mountain hideaway, for homebuyers looking for privacy and serenity. “MountainScape is for those interested in a primary or secondary vacation home. There will not be a rental program,” says Farmer. “This is a neighborhood…a community, when you come to MountainScape, you’ll be coming home.”
“We have 30 homesites planned for MountainScape…ranging from three-fourths of an acre to three acres,” says Farmer. Prices for these homesites start at $79,900. “We have a pre-development promotion going on right now. You can get your choice of lot and a 10% discount, but hurry…we have only 30 homesites available, Farmer adds.”
